The tarot card for today is The Fool - this very innocent card has a lot to share with us regarding today's Sun-Neptune opposition.

In the Rider Waite tarot, The Fool depicts a young man, carrying his pack on rod, about to step off the edge of a cliff. Supremely unconcerned, he carries a white rose and is accompanied by a white dog, both symbols of purity and innocence. The sun shines brightly behind him, suggesting that he won't meet the grisly fate you might expect when he does take that step.

The Fool is a card which is about trust - trust that life will not let us down, and that we will be guided and protected as we take the next step in life. Today, common sense, practical Virgo energy shines through the Sun - but the Sun opposes nebulous, confusing Neptune. Under this influence, the Fool could easily be talked out of his adventure. Someone would come along with a clip chart and warn him of the dangers, before asking to see his insurance documents and declaring them unsatisfactory. And he would forget his innocence and his belief, and succumb to the oh, so grown up but oh, so restrictive "adult" view of life.

Today, we need to not allow the Sun-Neptune opposition to confuse our dreams and our willingness to take a risk. If you were willing to do something yesterday, don't allow a momentary loss of confidence to put you off. Sometimes in life, the only way to move forwards is to take that leap of faith, and that's what the Fool is asking you to today - against all of the overly-concerned, overly-practical advice from the Sun-Neptune opposition.
