The tarot card for today is the Chariot - what does this dynamic card have to share with us, and how does it relate to today's Moon-Pluto square?

In the Rider Waite tarot deck, the Chariot card depicts, well a chariot. Drawn by one black and one white sphinx, who face in opposite directions, the charioteer has his work cut out to get the chariot moving and to steer it in the right direction.

Typically, the Chariot card turns up when we face conflicting energies, conflicting choices, or a difficult decision which could go either way. Today's astrological energies are a little like that too. The gentle Libra Moon urges fairness and tolerance, but she squares up to Pluto, who demands obedience, conflict and drama.

But we have a choice. We can follow the Libran energies and take the moral high ground, or we can follow Pluto and allow his revolutionary energies to sweep the ground clean beneath our feet. What we cannot do today is have it both ways. Either we miss out on opportunities by being kind and easy, or we risk alienating and upsetting others and perhaps passing a point of no return in some relationships.

Which to choose? All we can do today is to allow the Chariot to follow whichever sphinx our hearts and our consciences tell us is the right one to back.
