For Thursday, April 24th, 2014

Today's tarot card is the Two of Cups. Traditionally, this is quite a harmonious and gentle card, but how does that tie in with today's astrological energies?

The Two of Cups is a sweetly emotional card. In the Rider Waite tarot, it depicts two young lovers, each holding a chalice. The card is usually taken to mean partnership, love, harmony and goodwill. When associated with the influence of today's astrological aspects, however, I think it has a deeper meaning.

Today the Moon enters Pisces, and conjuncts Neptune in Pisces. This is a very pure and spiritual vibe, and coming straight after the upheaval of the last few days and the astrological Grand Cross, it's a very welcome vibe too.

Perhaps the true meaning of the Two of Cups today should be balance. With the Sun in solid, stable Taurus, and the Moon conjunct Neptune in spiritual, intuitive Pisces, we can have the best of both worlds. If we pay attention to both logic an spirit, we can find a sense of peace. Recent events will have shaken many of us, but the return to peace and tranquility can be surprisingly prompt if we embrace the Two of Cups and its message of balance and moderation.
