The tarot card for today is the Ten of Swords. This card is traditionally thought of as gloomy, but it does have a positive message, which ties in with today's Scorpio Moon.

In the Rider Waite tarot, the Ten of Swords depicts perhaps the darkest scene in the deck - a man lies on the ground, stabbed in the back by ten swords. At first glance, there's not much to redeem this horrific situation, and it would appear that the card does live up to its reputation for doom and gloom.

However, look a little closer. The black sky is giving way to dawn on the horizon. There is a new day ahead, and new positivity to come.

Today's Scorpio Moon is a little like the Ten of Swords in that it can provoke some very serious, quite damaging emotional outbursts, and some very deep and dark thoughts in some individuals. However, just like the Ten of Swords, the Scorpio Moon also has a more positive side. Scorpio energies teach us to look deep within ourselves for solutions; to find inner strength we never realized we even had. It's only when things become very dark that we realize we can turn on a light.

The message from the Ten of Swords today is clear: despite the day's tumultuous emotions, don't give up. Light is on the way, and it's within your power to grasp it.
