The tarot card for today is the Six of Wands. Also known as the victory card, this card has a lot in common with today's Moon-Venus trine.

In the Rider Waite tarot deck, the Six of Wands shows a young man riding through a crowd. He carries a laurel wreath tied to his stave, and wears another on his head, his horse cloaked in finery. He appears to be triumphant and riding in victory.

The Aries Moon trines Venus in Leo today, and this certainly brings the same kind of feel good factor that we can see in the Six of Wands. The Arian energy is determined to win, and so there is also an element of victory in the astrological aspect. However, when the Moon trines Venus, we may get too emotionally involved in our victory - or it may be an empty victory. It may not even be a victory at all - if we've convinced someone to flatter our ego, then the feel good factor may be entirely false.

In the Six of Wands the young rider is very busy looking into his adoring crowd. He's not looking straight ahead at what may be coming, or to his right towards us. There could be all manner of dangers or changes of circumstance that he won't notice because he's too preoccupied with accepting the adulation. This is the danger of the Moon-Venus trine, and something we should all bear in mind today, even as we justifiably feel pleased with ourselves.
