The tarot card for today is the Eight of Wands. This is one of the most energetic cards in the tarot, and corresponds very well to the astrological energies of today's Sun-Jupiter conjunction.

The Eight of Wands is one of the few tarot cards with no people or animals in it - at least, in the Rider Waite deck. Instead, we see eight staves flying through the air, against the backdrop of a tranquil landscape and a smoothly flowing river. This is the very essence of this card - events are moving quickly now. Perhaps that's why there are no people - because often with the Eight of Wands, events are moving so fast that there is little people can do other than to react to what happens.

There's no sense of threat in this card, however. Even though things may be moving too swiftly for human intervention, the outcome is normally a good and positive one.

Yesterday, the Sun roared into its "own" sign, Leo, bringing a massive burst of creativity and vitality to us all. Today, the Sun continues to pour forth pure energy, conjunct Jupiter, that most blessed of all planets. Here, good luck and bountiful opportunities are just around the corner, but we must trust the process. If we try too hard to control the situation now, the planetary energies will be dissipated.

The message from the Eight of Wands is simple. Let events unfold. Sit back, watch, wait - and enjoy.
