The tarot card for today is the High Priestess. This is a very spiritual card, which ties in well with today's Mercury-Neptune trine aspect.

In the Rider Waite tarot deck, the High Priestess card is rich in symbolism. The Priestess is seated beteween a black and white pillar, representing the boundary between our conscious and unconscious minds, and in front of a curtain, behind which, we presume, lie the secrets of the spirit world. She wears the crown of Isis, and a crescent moon sits at her feet - this is a lady who is very in tune with all things mysterious and unseen.

Typically, the High Priestess shows up in a reading when there is more to matters than meets the eye. Today's trine between Mercury and Neptune blends the energies of Cancer and Pisces well, giving us a shrewd insight into all matters mystical. Here too, we are being shown that there is more going on than we are aware of. The Mercury-Neptune trine encourages us to look deeper and to examine events from a different angle. It also warns us not to be fooled by dreams or visions.

The message today from the High Priestess is that a little bit of logic and intelligence can complement a spiritual situation, rather than detract from it. Don't be fooled by spiritual "gurus" or by leaders who tell you what to think and what to believe. The answers are within your own reach, but you must delve deep to find them.
